A Bit About Georgia

After graduating from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (First Class Honours), Georgia quickly moved into a private practice role to pursue her interests in Women's Health. Georgia is a compassionate, understanding and driven physiotherapist. She empowers her clients with the knowledge and understanding of their bodies and assists them to overcome their physical barriers to achieve their goals in an active and client-centred approach. 

 

 

Georgia has completed the following courses to assist her in her treatment of clients: 

- Level 1 APA Women's Pelvic Health 

- Level 1 APA Women's Through The Life Stages

- Level 2 APA Women's Pelvic Health 

- WHTA Advanced Pelvic Floor: Persistent Pain Course 

- Physio Skills - Female Pelvic Health: Foundations and Fundamentals

- Physio Skills - The Post Partum Check 

- Physio Skills - Physiotherapy Management of Female Genital and Superficial Sexual Pain 

- Physio Skills - Anorectal Evaluation and Management for Physiotherapists

 

These courses have enabled Georgia to help women with a variety of pelvic floor conditions: 

- Pre and post natal conditions: Pelvic Girdle Pain, Pelvic Floor rehabilitation, Tummy separation, Return to running/sport/gym

- Prolapse 

- Urinary Incontinence 

- Overactive Bladder 

- Constipation 

- Fecal Incontinence 

 

Georgia enjoys taking one on one exercise sessions to develop a customised program that suits the client's needs and goals, such as prolapse clients and pre/post natal mums. She also enjoys running group classes that empower women to move their bodies in a safe and encouraging environment. 

 

Outside of work, Georgia enjoys exploring new places to hike, a walk along the beach and being in her garden - expanding her veggie patch and ensuring every spot is filled with native plants for her bees.
